Adopt Frida a Hound (Unknown Type) / Boxer / Mixed dog in Raleigh, NC (39392214)

Location:
Raleigh, NC
Description:

Hi, my name is Frida! I’m a chunky lazy potato dog looking for my forever home. I’m a very shy girl who has come so far learning to be ok living so close to humans over the past 6 months in my foster home. I am in need of a very patient family who will respect my boundaries and love me for the unique hilarious potato that I am. Here are some fun facts about me: I always need to be the last in line when we’re on walks or exiting the house. I will rearrange myself at all costs to be behind you - you’re the confident human leader!I have built my own routine that I follow - when it gets late, I am off to bed! I may come out and judge you if you haven’t gone to bed yet like I expected you would, but then I’m back off to my bed again! I love to judge people from my perch on the comfy couch - I have the most expressive eyes and you’ll always feel a bit like the HR department is monitoring you.I love to eat my snacks when you’re not looking or once you’ve made me feel safe and comfortable. I have hypothyroidism and will take a thyroid medication daily for life. This is a very easy condition to manage with my daily pills that I eat readily in pill pockets and with bloodwork every 6 months to check on my thyroid levels. I am also on daily prozac which has helped me get out of my shell a bit more.I like to go on my short walks in my quiet neighborhood (my legs are pretty short and my body quite round so I’m not the most athletic!).I spend my day on my favorite corner of the couch chiling while my foster parents are at work. At night, per my schedule, I like to put myself to bed in the bedroom in my crate around 8:30 - I come back out for my night walkies and then go straight back to bed for the night after walkies. I have recently started doing some silly snoring. I sleep quietly in my crate all night and in the morning after morning walkies head back to my post on the couch! I have lived with many other dogs and at a previous foster’s home I would play with some of the dogs. Overall though I have a lowkey vibe and I haven’t engaged with any of the more playful dogs in my current foster home - I have appropriately corrected some of the younger puppy energy ones who bother me while I’m doing my snoozies. I think I would most enjoy living in a home with another confident chill dog. I’m looking for an adult only home or a home with teenagers that are dog savvy given my scared nature***All animals listed on our website are in private foster homes. To arrange a meet and greet with a dog, you MUST fill out the adoption application so that it can be sent to the foster parent for review to determine if your home is a match for the dog. If a dog receives multiple applications, we operate on a best-fit basis, not first come first served.***
